Mortgages by Sherilyn

About Me

Hello, I’m Sherilyn – a fully qualified mortgage broker with access to the whole of the mortgage market. I work with people at every stage of their homeownership journey, from first-time buyers to seasoned property investors, helping them find the right mortgage tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.

I’m now based in Lynton, North Devon, having relocated from Northamptonshire in 2021. While I love working with my local community, I also support clients across the UK thanks to flexible online and phone appointments. Face to face appointments are available depending on your location, I am often in and around the midlands seeing both family, friends and customers.

My Experience

I began my career in financial services with NatWest in 2004, and since then I’ve worked as a Mortgage Adviser at NatWest, a Mortgage Consultant at Nationwide, and a Mortgage Manager at HSBC. In 2018, I launched Upton Financial Advice, my own independent mortgage and insurance brokerage, to provide solutions for anyone who can afford a mortgage – not just those who meet the criteria of one specific lender.

A Personal, One-to-One Service

When you work with me, you deal directly with me – no call centres, and no advisers behind the scenes. I offer a genuinely personal service, taking the time to understand your goals, financial position, and long-term plans.

Every recommendation I make is completely bespoke, built around your unique circumstances, priorities, and ambitions. Whether you're buying your first home, remortgaging, moving house, or dealing with more complex needs like debt consolidation or shared ownership, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

A Bit About Me

Since moving to Lynton, I’ve fallen in love with the coast and spend as much time as I can outdoors. I go sea swimming and snorkelling whenever the weather allows, and I’m often out walking with my three dogs. I’m also enjoying getting stuck into my garden – it’s become one of my favourite places to unwind.

To ensure you get the dedicated time and attention you deserve,

I schedule all appointments in advance.
